VOTE – DON’T LOSE IT

As we have seen from the last 11 years of New Labour and preceding build-up period, a party MANIFESTO is nothing more than ‘promises’ based upon Spin, Deceit, Propaganda, Hypocrisy and Downright Lies. The Hierarchy attached to its content have one thing in mind – Self-first, Self-last and Self-forever. Just one example is Mr Blair who lost his job as Prime Minister, then promptly deserted the Sedgefield constituents who had voted for him. During his time in office he continued this country’s journey towards European Rule with an impending loss of the once-coveted British identity – Rule Britannia is fading fast. With the ongoing Middle East crisis once again on the boil, where is he and what is he doing? Europe now wants a President and he thinks he is the bees-knees for this job.

If there is going to be a change at the next General Election, Conservatives appear to be the only viable alternative. But would this be the answer? Yes we need change, and sooner the better, but the three main parties are viewed as being groups of politicians generally with the same outlook, camouflaged by ‘different’ interpretations of problems and answers. They all give the impression of wanting to look after number one. I exclude Vince Cable from this analysis – he stands head and shoulders above the rest, and projects an element of wisdom backed with sincerity.

Will the Conservatives provide a better and fairer deal for Pensioners? Their exceedingly poor showing towards EDM 658 – only 7 signatures from 193 MPs doesn’t exude confidence that they will.

Recent letters in our local evening paper (Wolverhampton Express & Star) have suggested voting for any candidate, where possible, other than Labour, Conservative or Liberal Democrat. I am certainly up for this one – it appears to be the only practical option that citizens have to give politics a hefty kick up the backside. UKIP, Pensioners Party or others here I come if you are on the ballot paper.
